Queensland

Known as the Sunshine State, has more perfect days than the rest of Australia combined. This is my home state. I have chosen to live in Noosa, South-east Queensland for a variety of reasons. The great weather, access to some of the best sailing and diving, and a lifestyle that is relaxed and peaceful make this as close to paradise as you can get. The state is huge and has some of the best tourism destinations that Australia has to offer.

The Great Barrier Reef is a must for any visitor who enjoys sailing, diving, or just lazing around in the sun. The interior of the state is about as Outback as you can get, so for those who like the wide open spaces, this is the place to be.

There are any number of spectacular National Parks to keep the intrepid tourist busy. The Daintree Rainforest, Fraser Island, and Carnarvon Gorge are just 3 of these. Their fantastic hiking trails will take you to some of the best views around. The Barrier Reef Islands that run along approximately half the coastline of the state will provide yachtsmen with some of the most challenging and rewarding cruising anywhere, not to mention some of the best anchorage's in the South Pacific.

The 3 main cities are, Brisbane - the capital; Cairns in the far north; and Surfers Paradise in the south. All are exciting, cosmopolitan, and offer the usual collection of accommodation, tours and services.

As the State has so many fantastic spots, I could ramble on about it for hours. If you are interested in a specific topic, please E-Mail us and we will get something together for you.
