The Far North
The awesome grandeur of the Northwest is not to be missed. A vast and diverse landscape, with many scenic national parks. The Kimberley ranges are home to some great camping tours and day treks. The area is famous for its Argyle Diamond mine, and tours are available.
The Northwest is remote. The best way to see this area is by organised tour or 4 WD. This way the locals who know the area will guide you to the best views or offer advice as to the most accessible 4WD tracks.
The highlights of the Northwest are the Bungle Bungle Ranges, Geikie Gorge, Lake Argyle and of course Broome for diving and pearls. Hidden Valley and a cruise down the Ord river are also a must on the list. You can fly into Kununurra, Derby, or Broome . All three provide access to the unspoilt beauty of the Northwest.
